The Government has decided punishing severely people involved in assisting illegal migrants to Algeria, 3 million AD fine to be imposed on any person involved is such cases. This decision is as a result of the amended foreigner's residency law.

• An armed group attempt to hijack Sonatrach tank trucks

Well informed sources reported that a 4-member terrorist group at around 5am has hijacked a tank truck transporting drinking water destined to oil exploration workers from Hassi Messaoud to Skikda province.
When the tank truck was 20 km away northern west the region near the bordering area between Djelfa and Ourgla provinces, the driver of another tank truck discovered the hijack operation and turned back to the base to tell security services. This compelled the armed group to flee. (...)
