- Graystone to sell Md. branch, open more locally
Harrisburg-based Graystone Bank will sell its lone branch in
Maryland to
reinvest the money in the faster-growing local market, Chairman and Chief
Executive Officer Andrew Samuel said today.
- Burnham reports Q2 loss
Burnham Holdings Inc. today reported a net loss of $1
million, or 22 cents per share, for the second quarter that ended June 29. This
is down compared to the net gain of $197,000, or 5 cents per share, that the
company reported for the year-ago period.
- Donegal's Q2 earnings dip
Donegal Group Inc. today reported earnings of $6.9 million,
or 28 cents per diluted Class A share, for the second quarter of 2008. This is
down from $10.8 million, or 43 cents per diluted Class A share, in the same
period last year.
- State workforce dropped in June
Pennsylvania's
workforce dropped significantly in June compared to the month before, according
to a report today released by the state Department
of Labor & Industry.
